You are invited to attend the first ever Occupational Health and Safety Conference to be held in Zeerust, located in the North West Province.
THEME: Build a safe and healthy work environment for collective safety
The decision to hold this ground-breaking event in Zeerust was made after requests were made to the Safety First Association by businesses and workers in the region, who want to learn about their rights and responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993)
Zeerust and its surrounding areas are home to thriving agricultural, mining, and small business sectors—industries where an improved knowledge of occupational health and safety practices are life-saving. However, many businesses and workers in the region are still not fully aware of their rights and responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993). This conference is designed to educate, empower, and engage those employers and employees, even members of the public on the importance of workplace safety and health. It will provide a platform for industry experts, government officials, and OHS professionals to share knowledge, best practices, and practical tools to help improve safety standards across all sectors.
