Interesting and unprecedented time for the PPE industry While it is a fact that the coronavirus pandemic won’t last forever, it is also a fact that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is here to stay. We have to wonder why it has taken something so devastating as Covid-19 for the PPE industry to get the recognition it deserves.
When we first heard about the new coronavirus that was ravaging China towards the end of 2019, very few of us were worried. It was far away and we weren’t affected. But within just a few months it had jumped from country to country and WHO declared it a pandemic.
As COVID-19 continues its rampant spread throughout the world, and we learn to adapt to this alternate universe where we find ourselves, so the OSH practitioner needs to learn about their new rules and responsibilities in this changed world of work.
With this issue we sadly bid farewell to NATIONAL SAFETY and with excitement welcome AFRICAN OS&H. Change is inevitable.
